I teach in the specialist music department at Wells Cathedral School which involves two lessons per student, two weekly flute classes, and chamber and orchestral coaching. I also take sectional rehearsals and full wind rehearsals for certain projects.
I am a visiting professor at the Royal College of Music Junior Department and have worked as an examiner at the Royal College of Music. I have also given masterclasses and adjudicated for the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
I coach many students at summer schools, music colleges and youth orchestras including Junior Guildhall, Oxford Flute Summer School, National Schools Symphony Orchestra (head of wind), AYM, South West Music School, Kent County Youth Orchestra, Kent Music School, Exeter University and the Royal Northern College of Music. I also work on many of UK’s orchestral outreach work, with BBC Symphony Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, London Mozart Players, BBC Concert Orchestra and on the BBC Ten Pieces project.
I have given masterclasses abroad in universities and music schools; in Taiwan, and at the Hong Kong Performing Arts Academy, through the British Council. I have worked with students from the Universidad Panamericana, Mexico City, and privately, on line, in the US, Canada, Hong Kong, Germany and Hungary. I have also worked with wind and brass students from the CPE Bach College of Music, Haans Eisler, Berlin, on an exchange and chamber music tour with students from Wells.
I teach private students both at home and in London, working with students in their preparation for music college, diplomas (ARSM, Dip ABRSM, LRSM, FRSM) and auditions. I offer consultation lessons in London and Wells.
Every summer I am involved in coaching on the Wells International Summer School.
